Give the Gift of Reading

Dear Friend of LDA Minnesota,

Do you recall how and when you first learned to read?  Was it difficult? Or, did it come easily?  For some, learning to read can seem almost effortless.  But for others, it is a challenging and difficult task.  That's where LDA Minnesota steps in.

In 2011, LDA Minnesota helped over 500 low-income children in our community learn to read and perform mathematics at no charge to their families.  LDA is able to help these children because of supporters like you. Thank you for making a difference in our community.

In fact, over half of LDA Minnesota's work is in low-income communities across Minnesota and provided at no charge.  These are families who are struggilng; struggling to maintain employment, to have healthy relationships, and to raise educated children. Through LDA's programs, parents are equipped with skills and knowledge to better prepare their kids for Kindergarten, with strategies to build healthy relationships and families, and with the confidence and skills to overcome their own learning challenges.

Please consider making a donation during this season of giving to LDA Minnesota.  Your support will help a child learn to read, a family to better manage their relationships, and young adults to gain the skills necessary to become successful and self-sufficient adult, despite their challenges.

Warmest Regards,

Katherine Christiansen
