Rachel oversees LDA’s Learning Connections program. In that role, she coaches the 20 part-time teachers providing academic interventions to the K-12 students enrolled in the program, and leads their Professional Learning Community. Rachel comes to LDA with an extensive background in the field of education and educational leadership. Over the past 14 years, Rachel has dedicated herself to improving the achievement gap in urban education. In the past six years, Rachel has refined her leadership skills in a variety of roles including leading Professional Learning Communities, mentoring novice educators, and developing curriculum. Rachel has a passion and desire to improve education by increasing teacher efficacy, as well as improving teacher retention in order to close the achievement gap.
