Each year LDA Minnesota reaches the lives of over 1,000 individuals and family members facing learning and attention difficulties. Program accomplishments in 2024 include:

LDA directly served 1,461 individuals from September 2023 – August 2024. 91% were children and families; 9% were adults; 77% were low-income; and 80% were people of color. LDA provides information, training, and resources statewide with direct services focused on the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Learning Connections

287 low-income K-12 students improved reading, math or writing skills with intensive, in-school instruction. 93% improved their skills, while 60% exceeded growth expectations, narrowing their achievement gaps.

Assessment and Tutoring Services

67 individuals gained knowledge and skills to improve their learning and coping strategies to meet their academic, employment, and personal goals.

LD & ADHD Support Services

45 adults gained knowledge, resources, and support to help them understand and manage their learning and attention challenges.

Institute for Special Educators

LDA trained 15  aspiring special education teachers for the Academic Behavioral Specialist (ABS) teaching license.  Of those in the program, three completed and were recommended for the ABS license and 12 continued in the program.
